Portable applications for Mac

Do you have a Mac and work frequently on random other Macs? This website provides you portable applications like Firefox, Adium, The Gimp and more. Just copy the folders to a USB stick, iPod or whatever you can take with you as a storage device and run the applications straight from your usb device.

Lockdown

Lockdown is a tool which locks your Mac with your mac remote. Simply hold the menu button for 5 seconds and your Mac is locked. To unlock hold the button again (if you do not have a remote you can use a password).

When the Mac is moved, a key is typed, the power is unplugged the Alarm sounds and will only stop when the remote (or password) is pressed.

X-Lite address book script

Marco Balestra created a script which add an entry in the Address Book context menu. When you want to call a contact with X-Lite you simpely choose "Call with X-Lite" from the context menu.
